Teenage Assailant Given Life Behind Bars Term with Minimum 16-Year-Long Duration
An 15-year-old boy has been punished to life behind bars with a lowest period of 16-year period for the killing of fellow schoolmate the victim during a lunch break.
Fatal School Incident
Mohammed Umar Khan pierced the victim, also aged fifteen, through the chest with a weapon at Sheffield's All Saints Catholic High School in the winter month.
Mrs Justice Naomi Ellenbogen removed the identity protection restriction on the killer during the judgment at Sheffield Crown Court.

The victim's mother expressed she felt "like a big burden has been lifted off my back" following the judgment.
The pair of youths had beforehand argued over social media in the period before the deadly incident.
Caroline Willgoose mentioned she was relieved the base duration had been determined exceeding the legal minimum of 15-year period.
"My dad has been undergoing cancer treatment through the court proceedings and he just couldn't persist any longer," she stated.

Before the homicide on February 3rd, Khan and Harvey had adopted conflicting viewpoints in a unrelated disagreement between additional students.
CCTV from the date of the stabbing revealed the killer coming near the deceased in the courtyard briefly after noon.
Witnesses described a scene of "disorder", with individuals "fleeing, screaming all around" during the aggressive encounter.
Judicial Process
In the court case, the defendant stated he had not intended to murder Harvey or cause him significant damage, claiming he could not recall what had transpired.
Prosecutors argued that he had "desired to demonstrate he was tough" and "was aware exactly what he was performing".
"You acted as the aggressor and... you proceeded in pain and fury at what you viewed to be his betrayal of your bond," pronounced the justice during the judgment.
Aftermath
The school released a statement stating that Harvey was "dearly mourned every day by the entire school community".
Police officials highlighted the catastrophic outcomes of bearing knives, observing that a "momentary choice" can forever change various existences.
